Lately I’ve been working on my Nuts About Squares CAL blanket and oh my god. I have learned so much with these squares!! There’s 35 squares in total and I’ve completed 18 so far. I’m really enjoying working on them and I can’t wait to see the finish result. I do have a few other projects I need to work on but squares are so easy to take to work with me. I’ll get back on track with my other projects once I get all the squares done and they need to be joined. I seem to put joining off for as long as I can on projects LOL.

I had to order more yarn for this because I used the wrong hook size on my starting squares. They said to use 3.5mm or 4.0mm depending on the square but I didn’t have a 3.5mm so I went up 0.5 for both. Using a 4.0mm when it says to use a 3.5mm and using a 4.5mm when it says to use a 4.0mm. my squares are ending up bigger than the suggested size and I also didn’t use their colour combos for my first set of squares. I didn’t realize they had come out with charts for each pattern colour placement so my first weeks squares are different and I probably used more yarn than I should have lol. Oh well, they look nice and go with the rest so it’s all good 🙂
