I loved this book. It brought in the new (but really old) group of Vampire Hunters, more Magic, and we got to see more Adrian time. Dimitri and Sonya come into this book and Sonya with the help of Adrian test spirit on Dimitri and Eddie. Sydney gets a boyfriend, Adrian visits his dad, Sydney & Adrian take self defense classes, Sonya & Sydney are attacked, and so much more!
Sydney gets set up with Brayden (co-worker of Treys) and it’s kind of funny to see her with a male version of herself. They have NO chemistry what-so-ever but because Sydney is so inept at social situations she has no idea that this is not normal for a relationship.
Adrian asks Sydney to drive him to meet his dad and you get to see just how much his dad is a prick! I don’t like him at all, he treats Adrian like crap and it made me so mad. Sydney is right when she thinks that everyone just expects Adrian to just act like he always does, and not expect anything less or more. I find it very disheartening 🙁 He does take some art classes and goes with Sydney for some self defense courses though. He also buys a Mustang and asks Sydney to help him learn to drive standard.
I loved the ending, I was jumping in my seat reading it but of course Sydney has to walk away. That made me so sad!!!
