This book was alright, I usually like the sports romance books and this one didn’t disappoint! The only thing I found weird was that Bryce’s entire family were famous for some sport or the other. I know it’s supposed to go into a series of books but it’s just weird to me. I did like how the heroin Tami was trying to make it on her own with no help from anyone, but then after 1 tournament was all “I’m totally ok for them footing the bill for this!” um that’s a big turn around and only after 1 weekend? I just didn’t buy it. I was also hoping there would be more conflicts for them to overcome but there wasn’t anything big so the plot line kind of fell flat for me.
The writing style was annoying to me that’s why I rated it so low. The story was there but the writing was just not up to par with what I’m used to, and the plot line not having anything big happen was annoying.
Bryce (The Player #1)
February 7, 2017
Money, power, prestige…failure. Bryce Coulter is The Player.
Don’t call it a come back….Because no one else is. Poised to live up to his legacy, tennis player, Blake Colby, loses it all on one swing. Now, with the pressure on and his future in jeopardy, the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, training partner with attitude and a killer swing — or maybe she’s exactly what he needs.
Rich, spoiled and moneyed — seen that, been dragged through the dirt behind that. Tami Ivey, gets enough of the bad boy trust fund kids at work. She doesn’t need it in her sanctuary too. Playing tennis is the only way to connect to the girl she used to be before tragedy struck. The day Bryce Coulter turns up at her court, she turns on that classic attitude. If there’s anything she’s learned it’s how to make a guy run. Except, he’s not running. And maybe she doesn’t want him to....
