Book Review: Redemption

Angels, Demons and Gargoyles Oh my! Hah, I couldn’t resist 😛 Dayton and Amber are sisters and they are sent to live with the aunt at her abby (she’s a nun) after their parents are killed in a car accident. Dayton is the main character and she’s treated really awful at the abby, no love and affection given to her at all. Her sister is the golden one, and treated fairly. She has a group of misfit friends and she eats dumdums all the time (BTW What in the ever living hell is a dumdum?!). She’s also got a car that she leaves rotting take out food in (which BTW makes me shudder…I can’t stand food in a car).

I really wanted to like this book, like really wanted to. But there is just so much wrong with it that I can’t. We don’t need descriptions of every little thing the heroin does! She’s also kind of pitiful as a heroin, everyone trying to protect her and treating her like a baby, she’s not strong at all even though the author tries to pass her off as strong. She also whispers EVERY SECOND SENTENCE. Like seriously, she’ll be in an argument with Marcas (Demon) and be all fired up and then freaking whisper to him. When I’m angry I sure as hell don’t whisper lol. It’s just not realistic at all. Yeah yeah I know Angels and Demons blah blah it won’t be realistic at all but COME ON. She also cries WAY too much…who sobs right before a big battle?! That’s just wasting your energy.

If you want to read about a dramatic teenager who whispers at people then this is the book for you! lol
