Hello!

1 / 25 / 191 / 25 / 19

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my site, and I’m going to try to start doing it on a regular basis. Hopefully I can stick to that! I also need to get back on track with my book reviews. I read so many books last year and only reviewed a few of them. I’ve been re-reading a few books already this year so I don’t know if I should review them or not, but there are some really good books so far that I should!

I did a bunch of commission work last year, and I currently have a big one in the works for when I can get the current 2 blankets I have on the go finished. I would start it right away but I need to get these blankets done first. One is a blanket for a school auction (making a Minecraft Creeper blanket) and the other is a baby blanket for a friend who is due in April. So what’s the commission piece? A Monopoly game board blanket 🙂 I’m really excited to make it!! I bought the pattern plus 2 others (cross stitch ones though) so I can make sure I get all the pieces how I want them. It’s going to take me 3-4 months most likely to get this done, but I’ve told my friend that and he understands.

I’m so excited to get my business running, I’ve gotten a logo (which is up on the site yay!) and I also have business cards and thank you cards for orders. My Facebook page and Instagram need some more love but I’m gonna work on that!

What to see what I’ve been working on these past few months? Well I’m gonna show you anyways LOL. I did 3 cardigans for my cousins daughers, 5 pumpkin hats for friends (I’m nly showing you 3 because the other 2 are the same as one of them), a Rainbow of Stars baby blanket and I started the Ubuntu CAL. I still have to finish the Ubuntu CAL but I’m not too worried about it. I have SO many WIPs (work in progress) though so I need to get on finishing them too XD

I have a craft retreat coming up the first weekend in February (only 1 week away!!!) and I plan on taking only my crochet projects with me so I can hopefully *crosses fingers* get a few completed. Last retreat I didn’t do any crochet, I just worked on my cricut (OH YEAH I got a Cricut last year 🙂 ) and cards. I have a lot more cricut projects that I want to do but I have to put those on the back burner until I have some crochet projects finished. I don’t want to start any more crochet projects until I’ve finished at LEAST 4 of them. Wishful thinking I know. I’ll probably start a new one in a few weeks anyways LOL.

I’m going to try to update during the retreat, but we’ll see if I remember LOL

Graphing & Selling Woes

5 / 10 / 185 / 11 / 18

I recently decided to take images I like and make them into graphs. I’ve seen lots of people on etsy and ravelry do this and I wanted to see if I could make a little side money with it. So I spent the last few days making tons of graphs – I’m talking over 100 LOL – and then today I decided to start putting them on on ravelry first…well they all got rejected because they’re just in graph form and there’s no finished product for them. I get that, ok, so I go to etsy…I need a credit card to sell there. I don’t have a credit card anymore, I got rid of all of them. Now I’m stuck with all these graphs and nothing to show for it. I will probably look into selling from the website but that will take a lot of marketing to promote them and I’m not good at that kind of stuff.

I’m just a bit bummed out about it all 🙁 Oh well, at least I have some awesome graphs to use for myself lol.
